Clintons buys house next door to Westchester property

Hillary Clinton and her husband Bill are expanding their foothold in Westchester County, picking up the house next door to their place in Chappaqua. The new "ranch style" house on Old House Lane was originally priced at $1.18 million, but was sold at a slightly reduced $1.16 million - or $319 per square foot - in August, the New York Post reported.

Real estate circles buzzed Wednesday over reports that President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, have decided to lease a nine-bedroom mansion in one of Washington's poshest neighborhoods when he leaves office in January. Moeller files to run for 3rd Congressional District seat

Moeller had previously declared he was giving up his seat in the 49th Legislative District to run for lieutenant governor, but announced earlier this week he plans to challenge the incumbent congresswoman. The liberal Democrat said he was inspired to run for the seat because he believes the 3rd Congressional District is being "shortchanged" by Herrera Beutler, R-Camas.
