The Secret Service arrested a man near the White House on Monday, after they had been told to be on the lookout for a man who allegedly threatened to kill "all white police" there. Monday afternoon, police in Montgomery County, Maryland, alerted the US Secret Service that the man planned to go to Washington with the purpose of killing officers at the White House, according to a USSS statement.

Hogan signs order opposing BDS, bars state business with companies that boycott Israel

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan signed an executive order on Monday that prohibits the state from doing business with companies engaged in a boycott of Israel. Hogan took the executive action against the Boycott, Divest and Sanction movement , an effort started in 2005 by a coalition of Palestinian organizations in response to Israel's occupation of the West Bank territory.

Anti-term limits group gets boost from office cleaners’ union, Leggett

Opponents of Question B, the Montgomery County ballot proposal for term limits, received two big infusions of cash this month, according to campaign finance reports filed Friday. Service Employees International Union Local 32 BJ, which represents about 7,000 commercial office cleaners who live and work in the county, contributed $5,000 to "No on B, " the political committee organized to oppose term limits.
