USDA collaborates with Yolo teachers to learn new skills

Sweep targets illegally armed subjects

Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced last week his investigation bureau's participation in a joint operation on 15 individuals who are prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition according to the California Department of Justice's Armed Prohibited Person System. The goal of the operation was to ensure that these individuals were complying with the prohibition against owning, accessing or possessing firearms and ammunition.

Fundraiser will boost reward fund for missing teens

Members of a Facebook group dedicated to the search for missing Yolo County teens Enrique Rios and Elijah Moore will hold a fundraiser Sunday, June 4, to bolster FBI rewards that have been offered for information about their whereabouts. "Angels for Enrique and Elijah Silent Auction" will run from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall, 415 Second St. in downtown Davis.

Yolo supervisors respond to a climate of feara with resolution

A recent Davis hate crime combined with a changing political landscape has prompted supervisors to respond in the form of a resolution - affirming Yolo County as a “safe and welcoming community” for all. “We drafted this resolution in response to calls from community members who share our concern with the recent vandalism at the Davis Islamic Center and the climate of fear from new federal policies,” stated Supervisor Don Saylor.
