Nautel, together with General Dynamics, will upgrade and maintain underwater sensors on the Halifax-class frigates for the Royal Canadian Navy as part of the Underwater Warfare Suite Upgrade contract awarded to General Dynamics Mission SystemsCanada. The upgraded sensors will offer the RCN an improved ability to detect and track underwater threats utilizing advanced Sonar amplifiers and transducers designed and manufactured by Nautel.

A Chinese destroyer veered within 45 yards of a U.S. Navy ship Sunday in "an unsafe and unprofessional maneuver" in the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea, the Navy said. Search continues in Alaskan waters for helicopter crash victims

The U.S. Coast Guard continued its search overnight and into early Sunday for three missing people from a helicopter crash in the frigid waters near Lituya Bay, about 116 miles northwest of Juneau, Alaska.
