The Daniel Kubler-trained five-year-old has been in terrific form of late, having knocked off convincing victories at Kempton and Newcastle. It was no big surprise, then, that Kubler decided to try Outrage in a better stamp of race back at the last-named venue on December 30. He did not win, but left Gosforth Park with his reputation intact as he got to within three-quarters of a length of Amazour on his first start over six furlongs since November.
