Troutman was 9-of-12 shooting, Filer was 4 of 4 from the field and Justin Massey scored 14 points, including four 3s.

North Dakota St tops Western Illinois 100-91 in 2OT

Carlin Dupree scored six of his season-high 22 points in the second overtime and North Dakota State remained tied for the Summit League lead with a 100-91 win over eighth-place Western Illinois on Saturday. Dupree’s free throws 38 seconds into the second overtime made it 89-87 and the Bison never trailed thereafter.

After slow start, Lumberjacks pick up victory

Kevon Harris scored 14 points and TJ Holyfield 13 and Stephen F. Austin recovered from a dismal start to beat Southeastern Louisiana 60-52 on Saturday night for its fourth straight win. Easton not yet closing in on new football coach

The search for Easton Area High School ‘s next football coach is well underway, but Steve Shiffert’s successor will not be put up for approval at Tuesday’s school board meeting, athletic director Jim Pokrivsak said Saturday. While two rounds of interviews have been done so far, and some anticipated the process might be wrapped up by Tuesday, the search committee has not made any decisions just yet.

Watson saw his boxing career ended in 1991 after he lost a WBO super-middleweight title contest to Chris Eubank during which he suffered a serious brain injury and afterwards spent 40 days in a coma.

Freshman Peyton Bell placed fourth and senior Jennifer Turner finished eighth in singles while Bell and Nathan Parrott were ninth and Turner and Savannah Shirley were 10th in doubles for the Cumberland bowling teams Friday at the Mid-South Conference Championships. The bowling squads take part in the team portion of the conference tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Southern Lanes in Bowling Green.
