Vrbataa s late goal lifts Coyotes past Sabres

Radim Vrbata scored with 18.9 seconds left to cap a three-goal third period and lift the Arizona Coyotes over the Buffalo Sabres 3-2 on Sunday night. Vrbata took a pass from Alex Goligoski to the left of the Buffalo net, skated halfway between the blue line and the left faceoff circle, hesitated for a second and fired a shot through traffic and past goaltender Anders Nilsson.

Riley believes Johnson will succeed in what looks like a daunting task of getting the Los Angeles Lakers back to prominence. Injured Mnisi to miss the remainder of Super Rugby season

Lions centre Howard Mnisi has been ruled out for the remainder of the Super Rugby competition after he suffered a serious knee injury in his team’s opening weekend 28-25 victory over the Cheetahs on Saturday. Mnisi, 27, suffered multiple ligament damage to the knee, including to his anterior cruciate, lateral collateral and posterior cruciate, and would undergo surgery, the Lions confirmed in a statement on Monday.

The Italian outfit was running at Misano but did not manage to complete the 100 kilometres of running permitted by the FIA when it encountered an issue with the energy recovery system on the Renault unit.
