Republicans urge probe against Clinton for perjury

Washington, July 12 - Republican Party members have formally asked the US Department of Justice to open a criminal investigation for perjury against the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee Hillary Clinton to determine if she lied to Congress. The evidence collected by the FBI during its investigation of Secretary Clinton's use of a personal email system appears to directly contradict several aspects of her sworn testimony, chairmen of the US House Judiciary Committee and the Oversight Committee, Bob Goodlatte and Jason Chaffetz, said in a statement on Monday.

The Republican chairmen of two U.S. House of Representatives committees on Monday asked the Justice Department to launch an investigation into whether former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton committed perjury during testimony to Congress about her use of a private email server. Jewish DNC staffer, 27, killed near his home

A young Jewish staffer for the Democratic National Committee was shot dead in an apparent robbery near his home in Washington, D.C. Seth Conrad Rich, 27, was shot early Sunday morning in the Bloomingdale neighborhood, near the Capitol, about a block from his home. Police in announcing the killing did not ascribe a motive, but his father, Joel, told the Washington Post that the police believe his son may have been the victim of a botched robbery.
