Johnson, Roberts to contest seat in Congress in November

Incumbent U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson received more than 81 percent of the Republican votes in Columbiana County and even more of a percentage of the votes in several of the other counties throughout the 6th Congressional District in unofficial results in the May primary on Tuesday. In the fall, Johnson is set to face Shawna Roberts of Belmont, who took 73 percent of the vote in Columbiana County against Werner Lange of Newton Falls in the Democratic primary.

Leetonia area home included in federal investigation of treatment center

The FBI, one of several agencies investigating Braking Point Recovery Center, is asking members of the public who have had interactions with the addiction treatment center to get in touch if they have any concerns or information. The FBI is not releasing the reason why nearly 100 agents from multiple agencies searched the recovery center's locations on Wednesday, said FBI special agent Vicki Anderson.
