Epistar wins appeal against Trustees of Boston University

LED epitaxial wafer and chip maker Epistar has disclosed it has won an appeal against the Trustees of Boston University over a patent infringement dispute. The Trustees of Boston University in October 2012 filed with the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts a charge against Epistar accusing it of infringing its US patent 5 686 738 concerning blue-light LED chips.
