New Bedford’s Ruben Rouke comes up short of second title at Golden Gloves

New Bedford’s Ruben Rouke, who fights out of the PAL Boxing club in Fall River, will have to be satisfied with the 141-pound Novice Class title in the Southern New England Golden Gloves Tournament as his bid for a second title in the Open Class fell a little short Saturday night. Rouke, who clinched the 141-pound championship in the Novice Class last week with a victory over Erunis Germondy of Big Sox Boxing in Providence, lost his bid for a second title as he was defeated by Marcellos DeBarros of Big Six Boxing Saturday night in the finals of the 141-pound Open Class.
