The White House has given the FBI clearance to interview anyone it wants to by Friday in its investigation of sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. The new guidance was issued to the FBI over the weekend in response to Democratic and news media claims that the scope of the probe was too narrow.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission, will conduct a nationwide test of the Wireless Emergency Alerts and Emergency Alert Systems Wednesday, Oct. 3. The WEA portion of the test will begin at 2:18 p.m., and the EAS portion follows at 2:20 p.m. The WEA test message will be sent to cell phones that are connected to wireless providers participating in WEA.
