Chargers owner Dean Spanos officially announced Thursday morning the franchise would move to Los Angeles for the start of next season. On the last leg of a 15-year battle with the local government over building a new stadium in downtown San Diego, which was shot down by a 57 percent vote, Spanos made the relocation plans official, agreeing to shell out $550 million for the move and $12 million to buy out its current stadium lease.
