Prosecutors say an argument over which television show to watch prompted a Massachusetts man to threaten his family members with a gun on Christmas morning. Corey Hodgdon was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing at his arraignment Tuesday on charges that include assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Referring to two suspects as the "Grinch couple," a Mississippi sheriff says a man and a woman broke into a home and ate the homeowners' Christmas treats before fleeing. Rankin County Sheriff Bryan Bailey said in a news release that the homeowners called police on the night of Christmas Eve after a man and woman ran out of the house as the homeowners approached the residence.

EMERGENCY crews were racing to free a trapped driver whose vehicle became suspended in the air between a tree and a fence following a serious single-vehicle crash in Brisbane's inner north.
