I am incredibly enthusiastic about voting for Hillary Clinton. Here’s why.

Donald Trump is the Republican nominee, which is frightening. We must make sure his hateful rhetoric does not even come close... Donald Trump has gone too far with his attacks on Gold Star parents Khizr and Ghazala Khan, whose son Army Capt. Humayun Khan... A Donald Trump White House would be a disaster, and this goes way beyond any ideological difference.

Sunday Morning Bobblehead Thread

The first presidential debate is almost here, so besides the usual parade of talking heads on the Sunday shows, all of the cable "news" networks are going live on the air this evening as well. The expectations for Trump are so low that basically, if he doesn't go out there and literally fling poop across the stage, the talking heads in the media will be spinning it as a "win" for Trump and telling all of us how "presidential" he was.

Monday’s Trump-Clinton Debate Could be Defining Moment in Presidential Campaign

Monday's first presidential debate between Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump may draw, by some estimates, 100 million viewers, who will be able to take the measure of the candidates for the first time on the same stage together. The stakes for both contenders are enormous.

Welcome to Trumpton: Why billionaire Trump is getting the vote of poverty-stricken Americans

IF Donald trump wins in Pennsylvania he will almost certainly become president. So pivotal is the swing state that one recent analysis concluded that the entire election could probably be held there.

Local education officials oppose state amendment

Local education leaders are opposing a state amendment that would allow the state to take over local schools that are deemed to be failing. The Latest: Clinton speaks with Charlotte pastors

Hillary Clinton has spoken by phone with African-American pastors in Charlotte, North Carolina, as the city deals with the aftermath of the fatal police shooting of Keith Lamont Scott. Clinton's campaign says the pastors told her the city would come together to rebuild trust between the police department and community.

Mike Coffman is a Republican worth voting for

Here on the High Plains, where the deer and the antelope once played, Denver's suburbs roam toward the Rockies' Front Range and the nature of today's polyglot politics is written in the local congressman's campaign schedule. One day last week, Republican Mike Coffman went from a Hispanic charter school in a strip mall, to another strip mall for lunch at an Ethiopian restaurant with leaders of the Ethiopian-American community, then to a meeting with the editor of the largest of two Korean-language newspapers serving more than 3,000 Korean-Americans in the metropolitan area.

Sen. Ted Cruz changes course, endorses Trump for president

Ted Cruz offered his first extensive defense of his endorsement of Donald Trump here Saturday, declining to disavow his searing criticisms of Trump's candidacy but arguing he made the best decision possible. Twenty-four hours after surprisingly abandoning his months-long opposition to his former Republican primary foe, Cruz uneasily stumped for Trump's White House bid, portraying him as the best and only option to stop Hillary Clinton.

Newspaper Endorsements Matter Most When They’re Unexpected

The New York Times editorial board endorsed Hillary Clinton for president on Saturday, saying their reasoning was "rooted in respect for her intellect, experience and courage." "The best case for Hillary Clinton cannot be, and is not, that she isn't Donald Trump," the board wrote, before citing its reasons why Clinton is better suited to the presidency than her opponent.

Maybe Millennials Think Clintona s Already Won. She Hasna t.The good…

If the presidential campaign remains close going down the stretch, an increasingly crucial challenge for Hillary Clinton will be convincing Millennial voters who aren't voting for Donald Trump to show up at the polls and vote for her rather than for Gary Johnson or Jill Stein. There's already plenty of speculation about how Clinton can pull this off, from getting Bernie Sanders out there campaigning for her to running more ads with hip-hop music to talking a lot about student loan debt.

The Latest: The New York Times endorses Clinton

The newspaper's editorial board on Saturday praised Clinton for bringing "a record of service and a raft of pragmatic ideas" to the election. It calls her "one of the most tenacious politicians of her generation, whose willingness to study and correct course is rare in an age of unyielding partisanship."
