Events to celebrate Martin Luther King Day in New Haven

The New Haven Museum will host storytelling and other activities as a part of the Yale Peabody Museum's 21st Annual "Dr. Martin Luther King Jr's Legacy of Environmental and Social Justice." The free event is from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. The New Haven Museum is located at 170 Whitney Avenue.

Trump supporters pack into Budweiser Events Center to hear Republican presidential candidate speak

A groups of protesters gathered Monday in a designated 'free speech area' a few hundred feet and a metal fence away from the line awaiting entrance to the Donald Trump rally at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland. Greeley resident Emma Fleming arrived mid-afternoon and took her place at the edge of the 'free speech area' out of sight - mostly blocked by a building - from the main event center structure, where protesters had been restricted.

"The day of the greatest event in the history of Duplin County has finally arrived," N.C. Representative Jimmy Dixon told the waiting crowd before Trump's speech began. Those attending sported "Make America Great Again" hats and Trump T-shirts, along with other memorable memorabilia, including calf-high socks with Trump's face in front of the American flag.

US: Clinton calendars won’t be released until after election

" Seven months after a federal judge ordered the State Department to begin releasing monthly batches of the detailed daily schedules showing meetings by Hillary Clinton during her time as secretary of state, the government told The Associated Press it won't finish the job before Election Day. The department has so far released about half of the schedules.
