County discusses prevalence of homelessness
Homelessness is prevalent in the Twin Counties, but United Community Ministries is having success in finding homes for families, according to information presented to the Nash County Board of Commissioners on Monday. Linda Brinson with United Community Ministries told the board at its second monthly meeting that 336 men and women have stayed at the shelter in the last six months.

In 2016/17 MY, the exports of grain crops from Russia broke a record and reached 35.5 mln tonnes, an increase of 5% compared with the season-2015/16, reported the Minister of Agriculture, Alexander Tkachev, on July 5. In particular, the exports of Russian wheat increased by 10% compared with the previous season, and totaled 27.1 mln tonnes. But in a new year, the figures will reach 37-38 mln tonnes, the Minister said.
