A politician in northern Sweden wants to list sex as an officially approved activity for civil servants during their daily paid lunchbreak. Per-Erik Muskos of the city council of Overtornea on the Arctic Circle says he made "a serious and formal" proposal Monday to add sex to the list of acceptable activities, which also include going to the gym or getting a massage, as well as eating.

The Tyne has come a long way in the past 30 years with the once filthy river supporting an array of wildlife from otters to water voles Once universally known as the Coaly Tyne, the exports down the river from the region's coalfields, and every other kind of industry from shipyards to factories crammed on to the banks, meant little wildlife could survive in the lower reaches of the great waterway. A TEENAGER has been charged with drink-driving and a bizarre low-speed chase on the Graham Farmer Freeway in the early hours of this morning, which allegedly involved him colliding with two police vehicles in a bid to get away.
