Libertarians in Florida will have more to choose on Primary Day than just issues, they will select their candidate for U.S. Senate -- a first for Florida Libertarians. The match-up is between Augustus Invictus and Paul Stanton who both qualified this week which ended at Noon on June 24, 2016, for all candidates running in Florida.

Terror suspects ask to postpone trials after Orlando

Two Florida men facing separate trials for terrorism charges have filed motions to postpone their proceedings in light of the terrorist attack in Orlando. The two men say the attack would adversely affect their chance at a fair hearing given that they are accused of being ISIS sympathizers, according to motions filed in federal court this week.

Scott Walker moves forward with plan to drug test food stamp users

Wisconsin's plan was approved by the Republican-controlled Legislature more than two years ago, but it languished because it conflicts with federal rules prohibiting states from imposing additional eligibility criteria on Florida had a drug test requirement for food stamp recipients that a federal appeals court blocked in 2014, finding it violated constitutional protections against unreasonable searches. Walker filed a federal lawsuit in 2015 seeking approval to test food stamp applicants, but it was rejected because then-President Barack Obama's administration had not yet formally rejected the state's request to do the testing.
