Gov. Cuomo announces proposal to complete 750-mile statewide hiking trail

Gov. Andrew Cuomo today announced a proposal to connect hiking trails in different parts of New York, creating a 750-mile trail that will span the New York Harbor, Adirondack Mountains, shores of Lake Erie and elsewhere. The state would have to develop 350 additional miles of new trails in phases, the governor said during a “State of the State” address Tuesday in Westchester County.
