Suspect Man Pleads Guilty To Murdering Cyclist In Westchester

A 35-year-old man is facing an indeterminate sentence in prison after pleading guilty to murdering a cyclist in Mount Vernon last year. On Monday, Westchester County District Attorney Anthony Scarpino announced that Bobby Jackson of Manhattan pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment for his role in a shooting near the intersection of Third Street and Second Avenue that took the life of a 42-year-old man last April.

Bomb Threat Prompts Evacuation Of Edgemont High School

On Monday morning, all students were evacuated from the building follow a threat that was made to the building at around 9 a.m. According to the school district, all students were evacuated as per the district safety plan and Greenburgh police responded to the scene. Westchester OKs $2.8 Million Settlement For County Courthouse Ladder Injury

Westchester County legislators approved a $2.8 million settlement last week in a four-year-old lawsuit involving a worker at the County Courthouse. Joseph Gragnaniello, 38, a heating and air conditioning mechanic working for Unity Mechanical Corporation, reportedly fell from a six-foot ladder while repairing a boiler in the basement of 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. in May 2013.
