Fox News has settled a $2.5 million lawsuit filed by a former contributor who said she was sexually assaulted by an executive at the network, The New York Times reported Wednesday night. Fox News settled O’Reilly sexual harassment allegations

In mid-November, four months after Roger Ailes resigned amid sexual harassment allegations, O’Reilly went on “CBS This Morning” and criticized his colleague Megyn Kelly for making public accusations against their former boss. On his own show that night, he told his viewers — and his female colleagues — that any allegations of harassment or assault should be taken up with human resources.

Megyn Kelly leaving Fox News, will host 2 shows on NBC

Megyn Kelly, the Fox News star who’s had a contentious relationship with President-elect Donald Trump, said Tuesday that she’s leaving the network for NBC News, where she will host a daytime talk show and a weekend newsmagazine, as well as contribute to breaking news coverage. NBC News made the announcement Tuesday, ending months of speculation over whether she would re-up with Fox, where she has flourished while suffering bruised feelings in recent months, or start a new chapter in her career.

Why Fox News Will Be Just Fine Without Megyn Kelly

Fox News made Megyn Kelly one of its biggest stars, but her departure after this week for NBC News will have comparatively little impact on Rupert Murdoch’s cable news juggernaut. Since landing her prime-time gig in 2003, the 46-year-old anchor and host built “The Kelly File” into a ratings darling, finishing 2016 as the second-highest rated show in cable news, behind only her lead-in, “The O’Reilly Factor.”
