U.K. TV giant ITV’s flagship network on Monday night drew 7.5 million viewers with the 9 p.m. season 3 debut of hit series Broadchurch and averaged an audience of 2.9 million for the first edition of 10 p.m. experiment The Nightly Show , Britain’s answer to U.S. late-night shows. Broadchurch , starring David Tennant and Olivia Colman, became a U.K. ratings hit in its first season.

The Academy Announces Theme, Creative Team for Governors Ball

That’s the theme of this year’s Governors Ball, just one of a number of details announced on Friday about the exclusive post-Oscar celebration that will follow the 89th annual Academy Awards on Feb. 26. Governors Ball veterans – Academy governor Jeffrey Kurland, event producer Cheryl Cecchetto and master chef Wolfgang Puck – are back on board this year to help create the entire evening for the 1,500 invited guests who will party inside the Ray Dolby Ballroom on the top level of the Hollywood & Highland Center. As the chair of the Governors Ball, Kurland has his hands in everything, overseeing dcor, menu and entertainment planning, and staff attire, all of which are details he’s familiar with after serving as chair for eight years.
