The Pentagon’s research agency announced it is giving war veterans the first opportunity to use the prosthetic before it is released on the commercial market. The bionic arm – nicknamed for the prosthetic used by the Star Wars sci-fi hero – will provide amputees with mechanical strength and dexterity far surpassing anything seen before.
