Springsteen’s ‘River’ roadshow is highest grossing tour of 2016

The Boss’s extensive roadshow, devoted primarily to the 35th anniversary of his album “The River,” is the highest-grossing tour of the year, according to Pollstar, a music industry publication. The 89-date trek, which will finally conclude in New Zealand in late February, has so far grossed $266.5 million, beating out the year’s fellow top draws Coldplay, Guns N’ Roses and Beyonce, who finished second with $262 million.
