Liberal South Chungcheong Gov. An Hee-jung is fast emerging as a strong presidential candidate, as rival political camps jockey to prepare for primaries in anticipation of an earlier than expected election. The race is heating up inside the liberal Democratic Party as its two main candidates come from the same political faction of the late former President Roh Moo-hyun.
