Disney’s live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast may be set in 18th-century France, but it seems to be the film that is helping the studio get up to speed in the modern era. Though the film adheres pretty closely to the animated original, which premiered in 1991, the team behind the new film have made more than a few changes to the storyline and its beloved characters.
