The George Shopping Centre in Grantham has been put back on the market less than 18 months since it was last sold. Present owner Atlantis Holdings says it has received a couple of good offers for the centre and is keen to take the opportunity to sell.

Construction business Galliford Try is to be awarded the construction contract for phase two of Grantham’s relief road project. The British construction firm is expected to start work on phase two of the scheme in July and is projected to be complete by 2019.

John Thomas Barrand, 46, of Belton Avenue, Grantham: admits assaulting a woman and a man by beating at a property on High Dyke, Woodnook, on December 5. Also admits damaging a mobile phone worth A 200. Barrand was discharged conditionally for 12 months and made subject of a restraining order to protect the female victim, preventing him from attended the property in Woodnook or Tropicana Tan in The George Centre in Grantham.
