The Providence College women’s basketball team fell to Georgetown in BIG EAST Conference play, 71-39, on Jan. 10 in Providence, R.I. The Friars dropped to 9-8 overall , while Georgetown improved to 9-6 . The Friars led 8-6 with 6:13 on the clock in the first quarter before Georgetown used an 11-0 run to take a 17-8 advantage with 2:17 remaining.
