Teams Still Hoping to Reach Moon for $20M Prize

According to CNET, the Google Lunar X Prize was first announced in 2007, but none of the 30 teams could pull off a launch before the 2012 deadline. The winning team will be the first one to launch to the moon, maneuver across the lunar surface and transmit high definition video and pictures back to earth.The second team which will accomplish the same tasks will get $5 million GLXP.
