Debuting on Tuesday at the 2017 Geneva auto show, and heading to USA showrooms late this spring, the 2017 Honda Civic Type R is set to battle the hot Ford Focus RS and Volkswagen Golf R. As is the case for all Type Rs, the powertrain will make use of a six-speed manual transmission. With all that being said, there isn’t much in the way of surprises with this Type R. It’s more that all of the components of the most recent European Civic Type R have been polished and incorporated into a more fully realized package.
