Labour has “plenty” of potential leaders waiting in the wings should Jeremy Corbyn choose to stand down before the next general election, the party’s new campaign coordinator has said. Ian Lavery appeared to suggest that Mr Corbyn could decide to quit ahead of the expected 2020 Westminster poll, but insisted that was not the situation at present.
