Labour’s Gareth Snell has held onto his party’s seat in Stoke-on-Trent Central after the UKIP leader failed in his bid to take the seat. UKIP had campaigned hard in the lead up to the by-election as Mr Nuttall tried to capitalise on the region’s overwhelming support for Brexit.
